Items have a tier, gear score, and a wide range of different defense and absorption bonuses against physical and magical attacks. Items with a higher gear score are more powerful, with increased base damage or mitigation.

Brutes are huge, hulking beasts that smash structures. They will occasionally attack players that annoy them but are otherwise focused website on destroying defenses. Brutes are very tough and require multiple players in order to defeat.
